Scarves

My scarves are created on both four- and ten-harness jack floor looms. Super fine merino wool is used in all the products because of the comfort and warmth the fiber provides. The wool also allows me to question the conventional way of approaching a woven fabric as a linear two dimensional surface. My scarves are three dimensional fabrics with movement, crinkling and buckling. After the weaving process, the fabric is felted and hand-dyed. The dying process further augments the movement and irregular surface created from weaving and felting. Each scarf is truly one of a kind with its own presence and movement in the world.
