My handbags are created on a four-harness jack floor loom. Patterns in the fabric are created using a pick-up hand-manipulation technique. The simplicity of the base fabric structure allows me to manipulate the fabric surface and create one of a kind texture. Using my hands instead of relying on the loom to create fabric pattern, connects each piece to its creator. My moods, thoughts and emotions are captured in the woven fabric. This fabric is then sewn to create clutches and change purses that highlight the innovative fabric that forms them.
